my yapping
hello! again, again! I go by jakecolon3 (or just jake), welcome to my blog!
I'm a 19 year old computer science student living in italy. I'm also pansexual (not like it's mattered up to this point...) and autistic ("wow, really?" I bet that's what you're thinking right now) and my pronouns are he/him. most of my time is spent at my computer either programming, watching youtube, playing whatever game I'm into at the time, probably other stuff too. when I'm not at my computer I'm usually playing guitar and very occasionally drawing.
guess I'll talk about some of the games I like. my favourite games are undertale and deltarune (that's what the color scheme of this site is based on! but more on that in another post). I'll try to remember to put a picture of my corkboard and laptop rice here at some point, they're deltarune themed
recently I've also been playing a bunch of street fighter 6, I even got a controller for it! (add picture) before that I was playing a bunch of guilty gear strive too, but I haven't touched that one in a bit now. I main ryu in sf6 and sol in ggst, which makes me feel really unoriginal now that I think about it... oh and I also mained mario when I got into smash ultimate a while ago... something about just picking the Main Guy is comforting to me I guess
I'm also an amateur programmer! you can check out what I've made so far on my github (yes I know minesweeper is on there like 3 times it's just fun to implement it ok). I'm currently studying java for my compsci course and though I like it more than python I'm not the biggest fan of it; it's just too verbose and I don't think I'm much of an object oriented programming guy
there's also this website! I like to keep things simple so I'm just writing it with vanilla html and css, not even any javascript; I'll go over it more thoroughly in another blog post probably
other than that I like to mess around with tech in general: I have linux installed (arch* btw) on all my computers, with one of them running as a home server which I plan to host this website on eventually.
I also use neovim as my editor and I take notes in latex for some of my classes (it's cool but not worth the effort for 99% of people I just like wasting my time on stuff like that)
I think that's about all I wanted to cover in this post. thanks for reading :3
*cachyos and omarchy count, right?
